Good news! You can now register to attend the conference and/or come along to the Candlemas Revels on the Saturday evening. The draft programme for the two days of the conference will appear here soon.
The Revels on the Saturday evening, 2nd February, are highly appropriate, of course, as Candlemas was traditionally a night of celebration. Thus, the second day of the conference will conclude with a dinner and entertainment in Middle Temple Hall. There will be a medley of music, dance and drama inspired by some of the Renaissance Men of the Middle Temple featured in the conference, with performers in historical costume, including The Nonsuch Dancers. The evening event is also open to those not attending the conference at a charge of £95, with the reduced cost to conference delegates of £85 (£70 for students). This will be a unique event, highly entertaining and in a wonderful setting, and the ticket includes a three-course meal and wine. I hope that you will be able to join us for the Revels, and please do invite your colleagues, friends or family to accompany you.
Please go to the Birkbeck website – https://www2.bbk.ac.uk/english/middletemple/ – to register securely.
